TSDSI is extremely grateful to the Hon’ble Union Minister of Communications and Minister of Development of North Eastern Region, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, for gracing the Valedictory Session of our Annual Flagship Conference, TSDSI Tech Deep Dive (TTDD) 2026, at Hotel Hyatt Regency, New Delhi on 10 July 2026!

We thank the Hon’ble Minister for conferring the TSDSI Outstanding Technical Contributions Awards for FY 2025-26 and for releasing the latest Standard developed by TSDSI on Multi-User Semi-Autonomous Telerobotics – QoS Aspects (STD 5006) along with Technical Reports on SDN-Based Optical Network for QKD (TR 6062) and AI supported use Cases in Agriculture Domain (TR 6063). The strategic MoU between DoT and TSDSI exchanged in his presence for providing financial support to TSDSI and to Startups and MSMEs to participate in domestic and international standards development activities through TSDSI will enable Indian companies to reflect their innovations in global standards.
TSDSI is the platform in India that enables contributions to global standards forums like 3GPP, and therefore an important pillar to realize the government’s vision of shaping the standards for next generation technologies, thus enabling India to become a global technology leader.
In his welcome address in the Valedictory session, Mr Satish Jamadagni, Chair, TSDSI, highlighted TSDSI’s pivotal role as India’s telecom standards platform for contributing to global standards, and its influence as an organizational partner in the global 3GPP. He further emphasized TSDSI’s strong collaborations with organizations within India, including DoT and TEC; and its partnerships with international forums, particularly the global south, such as African Telecommunications Union (ATU), 6G Brasil and MTSFB (Malaysia). He also noted some significant contributions made by TSDSI members to global standards, including the integration of NavIC into 3GPP specifications, support for High Power UE for Indian bands, and Narrowband IoT for TDD specifications.
The Hon’ble Minister, in his valedictory address, remarked that “I am very confident that this conference will leave an imprint on all of you in terms of the learning you take away and the contributions you have made, while setting the tone for the iterative process of standards development for the future”. He exhorted the participants to commit that India will not only be a contributor but one of the torchbearers of 6G standardization.
Mr A K Mittal, Director General, in his vote of thanks, mentioned that TSDSI started working on 6G as early as 2020 and has been contributing to 6G standards at ITU, starting with the IMT2030 framework document and most recently the evaluation criteria. He further remarked that TSDSI is gearing up to develop 6G standards ahead of the 3GPP timelines, in order to be prepared for contributing to global standards. TSDSI is developing standards to meet Indian requirements and in niche areas, including areas where global harmonization is not required. He quoted the example of ongoing development of a standard on WiFi over mmwave based on a request from TEC, a first of its kind in the world.
TSDSI also thanks the distinguished speakers, session co-chairs, delegates, partners and participants from within India and across the globe for making the 9th Edition of TSDSI Tech Deep Dive (TTDD) Conference 2026 an outstanding success!
Building on the momentum from previous editions of the conference, TTDD2026 deliberated on “Standards, Systems and Cross-Sector Synergies”, with a focus on aligning standardization efforts with practical deployment imperatives. It sought to address how standards development, technological innovation, and multi-sector partnerships can collectively shape a resilient, inclusive, and future-ready telecommunications ecosystem. It featured six fully online technical sessions from 7 to 9 July 2026 on topics in areas related to 6G Architecture; AI Native 6G Networks; Security, Privacy & Trust; HAPS; Priority Verticals & Transformative 6G Use Cases; and Open & Interoperable Systems.
The conference transitioned to hybrid mode on 10 July, conducting sessions on Perspectives on IMT Spectrum Priorities in context of WRC-27; followed by Partner views on the Conference Theme. A summary of key findings from the online technical sessions was also provided in a special Technical sessions’ Summary session.
Over 70+ speakers from within India and around the world, including global standards and industry forums contributed to the conference. It witnessed 459 returning delegates from the previous edition, a testimony to its growing influence in global standards related conferences. The concluding day sessions had a gathering of over 400+ delegates joining the proceedings in person, while 120 participants joined online.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our Session Sponsors – Tejas Networks and Nokia – for their valuable support, and to our Media Partner, tele.net, for disseminating the conference highlights and key discussions throughout the event.
