Sub: Inviting the public comments on adoption of TSDSI Standard “Common Data Payload for Adaptive Traffic Control Systems and other Intelligent Transportation System Products” as a National standard by Telecommunication Engineering centre (TEC) – Reg

Telecommunications Engineering Centre (TEC), Department of Telecommunication (DOT) has approved a policy for the adoption of domestic / international standards into National Standards. “Standardisation Guide” – a policy document for adoption of telecom and related ICT standards defines the process of adoption / ratification of TSDSI / international standards like institutional mechanism, process of adoption, maintenance of standards, numbering plan, stakeholder consultation, etc

Telecom Standards Advisory Committee (TSAC) – a Standing apex committee under the chairmanship of DDG (Standardisation), TEC, has decided to initiate the process of adoption of TSDSI standard TSDSI STD 5004 V1.0.0 “Common Data Payload for Adaptive Traffic Control Systems and other Intelligent Transportation System Products” as National standard.

As a next step in adoption process, all the stakeholders are requested to offer their comments on the above mentioned standard TSDSI STD 5004 V1.0.0. The details in this regard are as given below:

It may be kept into consideration while offering the comments that only technical content or the amendments affecting the technical content of standard shall be open for public comments, as per Para 6.2.4 of the Standardisation Guide.
