ITU KALEIDOSCOPE 2024 – CONFERENCE AWARENESS WORKSHOP

The ITU Kaleidoscope New Delhi 2024 Conference, is being hosted on 21-23 October 2024 in conjunction with the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly 2024 (WTSA-24) in New Delhi.

TSDSI is a proud organizational partner of this event.

The conference invites original, academic papers exploring technological innovation and digital transformation’s implications for policy, regulation, legal and ethical frameworks, the economy, and society. Emphasis is placed on how international ICT standards contribute to achieving the UN SDGs.  Full paper proposals should be submitted by 29 April 2024.

TSDSI organized an open online awareness workshop on 19th April 2024 to disseminate information on the conference topics and share guidelines on how to draft and submit good quality papers.

Here are few key conclusions from the deliberations of the workshop:

Mr Atul Sinha, DDG-ICT, NTIPRIT and the nodal contact point for ITU Kaleidoscope 2024 Conference, gave an overview of the conference theme and topics and process for submitting papers. This was followed by an engaging talk by Mr Vishnu RAM, Kaleidoscope Conference Steering Committee and TPC member, on how to write good quality papers, including practical tips on editing, aligning with standards, collaboration and handling critical comments from reviewers. He also explained TSDSI mentorship avenues for submitting standards aligned papers. The workshop concluded with a talk by Dr Abhishek Thakur from IDRBT on the role of SDGs in innovation, covering the specific role of ICT and highlighting transdisciplinary examples which could push innovation in SDGs.
