TSDSI is proud to announce the 21st Knowledge Sharing Webinar under the aegis of India EU Partnership Project on “India’s First Living Lab at IIITH: use case for oneM2M”
Topic Abstract: In this webinar, we will be covering India’s first living lab for smart city research, which is being set-up at IIITH by the Indian government support. The main objectives of this living lab: (i) Cutting edge research on different verticals of smart city (ii) Generating data for our AI/ML researchers (iii) Encourage start-ups and companies to test their solutions in a real-world environment on a small scale before deploying it on city scale. The lab also plans to employ oneM2M standard and possibly multiple implementations from different vendors and open-sources.

- Sachin Chaudhari, Assistant Professor, IIIT Hyderabad
Speaker Bio: Sachin Chaudhari received his B.E.(Electronics) from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, India in 2002 and M.E.(Telecommunication) from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India in 2004. From August 2004 to May 2007, he was with Esqube Communications, Bangalore, India, as a senior wireless communication engineer. He joined the Department of Signal Processing and Acoustics at Aalto University (formerly TKK), Finland, in 2007 to pursue his Ph.D. and received his D.Sc. (Tech) in 2012. During 2013-2014, he was a post-doctoral researcher at Aalto University. Since December 2014, he is working as an Assistant Professor at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad, India. His research interests are in the field of signal processing for wireless communication and particularly, in the physical layer aspects of cognitive radios, 5G, and internet of things.
- Ramesh Loghanathan, Professor, Co-Innovation at IIIT Hyderabad
Speaker Bio: After 25 years in the product R&D space, on Dec 2015, moved full-time into academics. As Professor Co-Innovation, heading the Research/Innovation outreach at IIIT Hyderabad. helping start and grow the Technology Transfer Office, Co-Innovation (corp) labs, Entrepreneur On Residence program and the Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Have been adjunct faculty (middle ware systems) at IIIT-H since 2002, visiting faculty at IIT Hyderabad (Innovation),member of governing board of incubators at IIIT-H, IIT and BITS.He served as a Chief Innovation Officer (interim) of TS State Innovation Cell.
