Towards 5G Advanced and 6G
– an International Conference @ IMC 2022 (September 29-October 01, 2022)
September 29 @ 2:30 pm - October 1 @ 12:30 pm
As the global rollout of 5G gathers pace, our sights are already set on the next set of enhancements that will become available around 2025 in the form of 5G Advanced. Enhanced Massive MIMO, precise timing and more accurate geolocation, AI in smart network management, ML based MIMO techniques, intelligence in the cloud, and improved energy efficiency are among the features being pursued for 5G Advanced. Even as these are moving towards reality, the research community is seriously engaged in looking out towards 2030 and the next-generation 6G network. Many forums and countries are articulating their vision for 6G, encompassing a highly dense integrated wireless and optical network, adaptive radios to address widely varying requirements with regard to speed, latency, error rate and jitter, new Terahertz frequency bands to support Terabit-per-sec speeds, holographic-type virtual reality rendering, Tactile Internet, and the like.
Exploratory research has been kicked off across the world on several of these areas and early results are promising.
A conference on “Towards 5G Advanced and 6G” is being organized as part of the India Mobile Congress 2022, which will focus on the exciting new pathways being explored in the quest for 6G, as well as on the advances appearing on the horizon in 5G Advanced. It will feature some of the leading experts who are charting the course 6G will take.
Call for Abstracts:
