oneM2M Developers’ Tutorials and Hackathon in Thiruvananthapuram and Goa (7-10 January, 2020: Thiruvananthapuram)

TSDSI is proud to announce the 4th edition of a multi city developers’ tutorial and hackathon on oneM2M, under the aegis of the India EU ICT Standard Collaboration Project.

oneM2M is a global partnership project of eight global standards bodies including TSDSI from India and ETSI from Europe for development of IoT/M2M standards.

oneM2M Tutorial cum hackathon series is a flagship initiative of the project to enable the developers and startup community to produce globally interoperable solutions with least efforts.

  • oneM2M Master Class for Developers and Smart Panaji Hackathon in GOA 9-10 Jan 2020

oneM2M Tutorial in Thiruvananthapuram

This tutorial, conducted in partnership with CDAC Thiruvananthapuram, covered “Building IoT applications using oneM2M, a global, secure and scalable approach”.  Detailed program agenda can be viewed here.

Venue: HYCINTH Hotels, Thampanoor, Thiruvananthapuram

Schedule: 7 January 2020 08:30 to 8 January 2020 14:00

Who Should Apply: Developers of IoT applications (students, startups, faculty and research organisations)

Participation was free of cost for candidates shortlisted by an online application process on first cum first serve basis. Applicants with advance knowledge of computer programming and building IoT applications and who have completed an online course* on oneM2M Overview in advance were given preference. Deadline: The last date to submit applications was 20 December 2019 23:55 IST. Organisers communicated the results to shortlisted candidates by 25 December 2019.

Intellectual Property Policy: The organisers will have no claim to the idea/solution presented by participants.

oneM2M Master Class for Developers and Smart Panaji Hackathon in GOA

Theme of the Hackathon is “Smart Solutions for a Smart City – Smart City Applications” for Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited, the Smart City of Panaji, Goa. Detailed program agenda and hackathon challenge topics can be viewed here.

Venue: BITS Pilani K K Birla Campus, GOA

Schedule: 9 Jan 2020 08:30 to 10 Jan 2020 18:30

Who Should Apply: Developers of IoT applications (students, startups, faculty and research organisations)

Participation was free of cost for candidates shortlisted based on an online application process on first cum first serve basis. Applicants with advance knowledge of computer programming and building IoT applications were preferred.

Upto sixty participants grouped into 15 teams of 4 members each were shortlisted and invited to participate in the Hackathon.

Prize:  Winning team of the hackathon was awarded a fully paid trip to a startup event in Europe. All participants/teams received a certificate from the organizers.

Deadline: The last date to submit applications was 20 December 2019 23:55 IST. Organisers communicated the results to shortlisted candidates by 25 December 2019.

Intellectual Property Policy: Participation in this hackathon did not modify, transfer, or affect the title, right, or ownership of any existing copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade names, logos, or other intellectual property in any solution presented. All rights remained the exclusive property of the party concerned and / or participant.

About oneM2M:

oneM2M is the global standards initiative that covers requirements, architecture, API specifications, security solutions and interoperability for Machine-to-Machine and IoT technologies. oneM2M was formed in 2012 and consists of eight of the world’s preeminent standards development organizations: ARIB (Japan), ATIS (U.S.), CCSA (China), ETSI (Europe), TIA (U.S.), TSDSI (India), TTA (Korea), and TTC (Japan), together with six industry fora or consortia (Broadband Forum, Continua Alliance, Global Platform, Next Generation M2M Consortium, OMA) and over 200 member organizations. oneM2M specifications provide a framework to support applications and services such as the smart grid, connected car, home automation, public safety, and health. oneM2M actively encourages industry associations and forums with specific application requirements to participate in oneM2M, in order to ensure that the solutions developed support their specific needs.
