11th Global 5G Event- Unlocking the Future: Convergence of AI, Cloud, and Networks in Telecom
TSDSI is a signatory to the “Multilateral MoU for 5G Global Events” agreement, along with six leading industry forums from around the world: 6G-IA from the EU, 5G Americas from the US, 6G Forum from S. Korea, XGMF from Japan, IMT-2020 5G Promotion Group from China and 6G Brasil from Brazil. This agreement aims to orchestrate annual “Global 5G Events” that serve as a platform for mutual understanding and cooperation among partner stakeholders, facilitate advancement of 5G and beyond technologies, including sharing deployment and commercialisation experiences. Recent meetings have increasingly focused on 6G issues alongside 5G. Partners host the Global 5G Event meetings on a rotational basis.
TSDSI hosted the 11th Global 5G Event at Airtel’s Network Operations Centre in Manesar on August 29-30, 2024. The theme of the meeting was: “Unlocking the Future: Convergence of AI, Cloud, and Networks in Telecom”.
The event enabled experts from Brazil, China, Europe, Japan, South Korea, the US and India to discuss topics related to current AI and Cloud Implementation models in 5G Networks, multi-access edge computing use cases with AI, regional experiences from 5G Deployments, and the path to 6G with AI and cloud over four technical sessions. It helped in understanding the views from across the regions on the potential opportunities, challenges, standardization and deployment strategies of AI and cloud in 5G and 6G. The event also included a tour of the Airtel Network Operations Centre (NOC) for all the delegates.
