Stakeholders’ Workshop of India-EU Partnership Project on ICT Cooperation
April 27, 2018
Agenda:
A 3 year India-EU Cooperation Project on “ICT Related Standardization, Policy and Legislation” was launched in November 2016, with the objectives of intensifying cooperation between the two regions and facilitating closer alignment between Indian and European standards in ICT. Specific areas, namely, 5G, Intelligent Transport Systems, Network Function Virtualisation/Software defined Networks (NFV/SDN) and Security have been identified for the cooperation. ETSI and TSDSI are the anchor organizations in the Project from the respective regions.
The project, with a sanctioned budget of 2.27 Million Euros, has completed 1.5 years, in which several activities like regular webinars, tutorials, hackathons, workshops, conferences and expert visits have been conducted. (A list of various activities performed under the project is available on the project website here).
A Stakeholders’ Workshop is being organised on 27 April 2018, in New Delhi, to come out with recommendations for project strategy for the remaining period for further enhancing the productivity. The workshop will be conducted in the form of a brainstorming session seeking suggestions from TSDSI participants. These will then be categorised into recommendations for possible instruments (like webinars, hackathons, tutorials, joint studies, white papers, test beds, exchange of experts etc.) and specific topics under the project scope of 5G, ITS, NFV/SDN and Security.
